This octopus is hand sculpted from royal blue polymer clay, augmented with shimmering pigments in varying colors. The suckers are all individually sculpted from metallic gold effect clay and placed on the legs in a neat row from top to bottom. The octopus's eyes are made from onyx.

"The Keeper" is holding onto (real) seashells and an ornate brass colored key, decorated with chain and coin shaped charms, scattered and arranged throughout the bowl. Please note the shells and key cannot be (re)moved due to being sealed in place with resin.

This octopus sculpture sits in a round, tri-pod style stoneware bowl, approximately 100mm wide. The bowl has a smooth feel, stone look with a blue-grey speckled glaze with a dark brown rim.

The whole piece is coated in resin which acts like a glue and a high gloss varnish at the same time, securing everything in place.

Makes a unique gift for ocean lovers, divers, marine biologists, zoo keeper, aquarium keeper or general octopus fan / collector.
